Family Literacy Day World Record Attempt

I am once again behind on my updates. I should just do a post right after I have taken the pictures but I am always waiting for someone else to put pictures on the computer first.
On January 23rd, 150,000 children across Canada in various ciries and towns were all reading to beat a record of "most children reading with a child, multiple locations".
I volunteered to read to Micah's class(I have no pics). Each classroom across Canada read the same 5 Robert Munsch books, at the same time in the same order. The 5 books were "Pigs", "Mortimer, Be Quiet", "Purple, Green, and Yellow", "Murmel, Murmel" and "Something Good" The class sat so well. Simon sat right in with the class and fit right in.
Following the world record attempt, an assembly was held in celebration of literacy. They had a powerpoint presentation of Robert Munsch and got active with Scooter.

Scooter the Squirrel is a new mascot. He comes to the school to get the children & teachers active. He says, "Get Up, Get Out, and Get Moving"
He did various exercises with the staff & students. (Simon was scared of him but we were at the top of the bleachers so he still did all the exercises)
