Nice Day

We took advantage of the nice weather and walked to the school.

This is one way we can tell Lauryn & Leah apart - by the way they point.

Calleigh at the park(it was still quite wet that day and she wore shoes, not rubber boots)

This is our picture taking spot. Everytime we walk by it, Calleigh asks to have her picture taken.
Since I took individual pictures of the kids, I will do little updates on them.

How did he grow up so fast? He will be 10 years old this year. How that be? When he was born, people told me to enjoy each moment because he will grow up so fast. I did believe those people but really couldn't understand how fast until now that I have experienced it. Micah loves to be outside playing football(yes, 1 man football). He is very sports minded, competitive and athletic(he didn't get that from me). He is happy when he is active.

Then there is Simon - how could a couple have 2 boys that are so different from each other? Their personalities(and looks) are as opposite as it gets. Simon is getting more & more into sports as well but isn't as competitive as Micah. Simon has a creative mind as well. He loves school and does really well.

Calleigh is Calleigh and is my true girl, drama and all. She likes to do girly things but she also likes to be out with the boys. She is quite rough with the twins and is oh so very bossy(she has great leadership qualities). Interesting when you see yourself through your own child.(somewhat scary)

And the end of the walk.

Lauryn & Leah are busy little girls now at 15 months. Theya have started hugging each other now. It is such a joy to watch them interact with each other. They like to climb & explore now. They say a few words : Daddy, Mom, Ball, More, All Done

I am so blessed!!

Two Peas in a Pod

They really are....two peas in a pod. They love being close together at all times even when they are sleeping - so close that Lauryn is using Leah as a pillow. The other night it was reversed, Leah was laying on Lauryn but she was using her head for a pillow.

A Birthday Party

Calleigh went to Brandon's(her "best friend) 4th birthday party last weekend. I think it is the first birthday party that she has gone to by herself. The kids were there for the party then parents were invited to come for supper. A nice idea!

Lauryn got herself up on the chair to join the big kids.

Lauryn & Leah playing with the Leapfrog table. They loved that.

Cruze & Leah(or is it Lauryn?)

I will use this picture for my photo challenge at the end of the month featuring "an animal".

A Visit With Uncle Derek

Derek came for a visit over the weekend. We had a turkey supper at our place with Derek & Dad(Mom was out of town) as well as the Schellenberg clan & us.

Calleigh clung to Uncle Derek like a leech. The good thing is that he didn't seem to mind it.

Here she is clung to cousin Jada.

Again with Jada(I posted these for you, Heidi)
Leah, Simon(hidden), Lauryn & Calleigh on Uncle Derek. They were all so excited.(can you tell by Leah's expression?)

First Walk

Last week we took our first walk of the year. Still lots of snow but the streets were dry enough to walk on. The twins loved it and now get so excited just at the mention of the word, "walk" or "outside". A few days later:

A Little Update

The twins are so much fun and oh so busy. Their new favorite thing to do is climb up on the couch and play there. They were sitting here giving each other hugs. It is neat to watch them bond. We moved the coffee table to prevent injuries.
Last Sunday locked herself in our bathroom just as we were about to walk out the door to church. She closed the bathroom door then opened a drawer right behind the door. We were able to open the door 1/4 " & use a screwdriver to open the door. Phew! The next day, Calleigh & I got locked outside the back door with the twins inside. You can read that story on my other blog by clicking HERE.
We traded in the van and got ourselves a great family car - Challenger.

Just kidding. Our van was hit in the school parking lot by ???? so it was in the repair shop. They gave us a loaner vehicle, we now have a van as a loaner but the boys sure enjoyed being picked up from school in this car and I think Bryan enjoyed driving it. You can see the chalk on the driveway - that is Micah's hockey "rink". That boys has one thing on his mind and that is sports. He loves to be outside is looking forward to having the snow all melted.

Trying to make a pathway, we still have lots of snow but it has melted a lot this week.

The twins just wishing they could be outside too.

Blog Background

I keep changing the blog background and now I am back to one of my favorites. I had this as my background when the twins were born. Feel free to let me know which backgrounds you like/dislike. Also, I have been updating my other blog, you can check it out HERE.

Our Trip To Saskatoon

For some of you you may not think it is a big deal to go to Saskatoon but for us it kinda is. The last time we were there was in October for a concert. The reason went this time was for a concert again - The Collingsworth Family and the Freedom Singers.

Here is Olivia singing. Calleigh has her CD and could hardly wait to meet Olivia. She is the youngest member( the Kaboose) of the Collingsworth Family

Here is a video of them

They are Micah's favorite group.

Calleigh with Olivia

Simon with Simon from the Freedom Singers. They have an amazing story/testimony.

While in Saskatoon, we also took the time to do a bit of necessary shopping and have the twins pictures taken. Here they are before their photo shoot. I wished I would have worn different clothes on them - something more girly. Oh well. We stayed an extra night so we could spend some time with family. The boys had lots of fun playing the Kinect(and so did we). "What a shot, Simon!"
Bowling

Calleigh watching the boys. I really liked the rafting on the Kinect.

Just Like Dad

The theme for March assembly was "Dress Like Mom or Dad". Simon wore one of Bryan's Andres shirts, an Andres hat(Bryan doesn't wear hats to work though) and carried a little mat under his arm(although Bryan doesn't do that part of the job much anymore). He looked pretty cute marching into assembly with his mat under his arm.
