Too Cute Not to Share

This was on their "5 month birthday".

Klemmer Park Field Trip

This year the kindergarten class spent a day at Klemmer Park. Usually they go swimming at the end of the year but not this year. They had a fun day at the park & beautiful weather for it.

The kids were slpit into 3 groups - a nature hike with Mr Lorenz, soccer & butterfly/bug catching with Bryan and play at the playground. I started on the hike but they were walking too fast for me to keep up plus the stroller wouldn't have made it all the way & I was told that the bugs were terrible in there. You can see the kids ahead of me:

The tire swing that cause the dizziness:

The girls all did well at the park. The twins were just out of the stroller for a bit of a break, diaper change & a bottle.

The kids enjoyed a hot dog lunch

Just moments before we left the park, I asked Simon what was wrong & he said that the tire swing made his stomach hurt. (this pic was taken when I was asking him)

Well, he didn't make it all the way back to the school & he threw up in the bus. He didn't say a word, just had his head resting on the seat in front of him. Not sure what he would have done if Bryan wasn't along with him.

Happy Father's Day

This was the best group picture:

Our 5 children with Daddy & Papa
(and with the wonderful "Couch Cake" that Melinda made for her Dad - she is certainly more gifted in cake decorating than I am)
In the pool at Grandma & Grandpa's.
It was funny weather that day. It was sunny then raining & while at my parents it poured with rain as well as a thunderstorm.

Grandpa (wearing one of his 2 Roughrider shirts that he got for Father's Day) reading to Calleigh. She fell asleep on his lap.

Hope you had a great day appreciating all the fathers in your life.

Just Relaxin'

Watching Micah in swimming lessons:

I Love That Smile

(This evening Bryan and the boys stopped by at friends of ours & they were looking at the blog so I thought I better update it for you)

Leah waking up from a nap. She had fallen asleep on the floor while I was making supper. Both the girls do that - they get tired of waiting & just put their head down & have a nap.

Leah looks happy in the bouncing buggy too but it doesn't last long. They are too small & they sink down.

Gifts

Here are a few pictures of the girls wearing outfits they received as gifts:

(notice I usually say twins only because girls refers to Lauryn, Leah & Calleigh)

Thank you Marlene for these cute CP outfits!
They are a bit big(the pants fall down but they will be great in a month or so)

This isn't the greatest picture but it is the only one I have with both of them wearing these dresses from Kim O. & girls.
Thank you Kim, Kennedy & Kaylie!

Thank you Lindsay, Amanda, Liam & Libby!!

(you wondered if the outfits will fit this summer - they fit great)

Enjoying the Weather

People often ask how we know the twins apart. One way is they have different car seats.LOL They each have their own. Lauryn is always in the Evenflo one & Leah in the Graco one.

We have been enjoying some beautiful weather, bugs & all. The twins are usually in their stroller with a net over it when we are outside.
One day the kids enjoyed playing in the sprinkler & then ice cream for a treat and Lauryn sat out on the deck too.

This is the Life

The twins watching tv, Leah isso full that it is overflowing & Lauryn is so full that she is yawning. Just had to add a twin picture. They are such sweethearts and they love to be together.

Activity Day

I have mentioned in previous posts that it has been raining alot. The day before activity day, it rained all day so we thought it would be held inside. I thought it would be too muddy even if the rain stopped but we were outdoors except for the family picnic which was in the gym.

Simon in a relay
(me & the stroller across the field)
Micah in a sack race, my boys don't do as well with jumping as they do with running. (skipping isn't their thing either)

Obstacle course
Micah on the monkey bars

Simon in the fire truck(he loved that & would have liked to sit in the front seat)

Bean bag toss

Lauryn(Bryan held Leah so she could have a good sleep)

Ball throw

Mr Lorenz joined the kids in the sack race.

The Party

We have been having some unpleasant weather as I am sure you have all experienced. Amongst all these rainy days was one nice day & it happened to be the day that I planned Calleigh's 3rd birthday party for. The day after it was rainy again.

Calleigh before the party.
We had a princess party so each of the girls received a crown when they arrived.
Tina is holding Lauryn. Leah slept the whole time & missed the party.

I did a couple organized games but it was hard at this age. They enjoyed playing on the play stucture more.

I made a princess cake but it did not turn out. First of all when I was baking the cake, I poured the batter from the cupcakes in the bottom of the oven. Just as I did that, Leah was waking up from her nap & the doorbell rang. Then I didn't have enough cake for the "princess" so a plain(rainbow) 9x13 cake it was. At every birthday party I wonder why I ever attempt to make a cake. Cake decorating is NOT my thing.

Calleigh got lots of great gifts. At this age, most of the kids did not care to watch so it was a bit chaotic at this time.(notice Simon taking a picture of Calleigh on his pretend phone)
I wanted to take a group shot but I thought of that as everyone was leaving.

Happy Birthday Calleigh

This year Calleigh's birthday was drawn out a bit. Her actual birthday was on May 26th & we had a little family party that day then had a party with her cousins & then a friend party one week later(to accomodate schedules etc)

Our family party on the 26th. I just made a simple cake. The icing is so good & simple, it is just Cool Whip with a box of vanilla pudding added.
Calleigh on her new bike from Mama & Papa.

Katelynn, Jada & Calleigh have their birthdays within 3 weeks of each other so we had a "celebration" for all of them.
Heidi made a Dirt Cake & Calleigh said, "Auntie Heidi has good dirt at her house"
(I'll post pics from the friend's party soon)

RCMP Tour

For storytime the kids had a couple tours in May. One was at the bakery & one at RCMP. Simon had school this day but I took him out for an hour to go on this tour. I knew he would love it.
Here they are in a jail cell. One little gir said, "maybe we could play eye spy in here" (everything is the same color.lol)

Our birthday girl (she wasn't nearly as impressed with the whole tour)

The kids got donuts at the end.

I had to add this one just becasue it shows Simon taking it all in. He listened so intently & shared it all with us when he got home. He doesn't miss any details.
