Fun in the Snow

Soccer

The boys had their final night of indoor soccer on March 17th. It ended with a mini tournament. The boys played at the same time at different schools so I was only able to watch Simon while Bryan was with Micah.

Simon's team won "gold" if there was such a thing. They all got the same medals but his team won all their games.

Both boys really like soccer. Micah is much more into it & competitive. Simon is in it for the fun.

St Patrick's Day

On the evening of the 16th I decided I would make green popcorn for St Patrick's Day. We made it to give to the teachers.

How exciting to watch popcorn pop!!

It didn't turn out as green as I would have liked it but it was delicious anyway. The recipe is from Skip To My Lou blog Click to see the blog & recipe.

Literacy Fair

Simon's school hosted a Literacy Fair. (It was actually held there but hosted by a numerous # of organizations) There were fun learning games including Twister, Skipping, Obstacle Course, reading, puzzles, play dough, etc.

Free Skate

KTHR Primary Health Care team put on a free skate night. It started with road hockey with the Nip Hawks(Micah enjoyed that) then chili supper and skating. They also had a few games(fish pond, bean bag toss & coloring) It was a great family event to attend.

The twins out on the ice going for a skate with Papa & Daddy. Lauryn loved it. Leah was just "whatever". She didn't complain just didn't seem as
thrilled.
Micah talking a break after working up a sweat.

L & L had had enough & were ready for bedtime.

Calleigh stayed & colored for a long time. She preferred that over skating. Finally she did want to go out on the ice. She skated(marched) for about 6 feet then had enough so Simon pushed her on the chair.

Then a picture with Scooter. He says, "Get Up, Get Out & Get Active"
Scooter was chasing Simon around as he skated, lots of fun!

Sleepy

One morning, just before lunch, the girls were playing and usually they stick together at all times. Lauryn came to me & I asked her where Leah was. I was just working at the table & didn't hear Leah at all. She normally "sings" herself to sleep. She must have been so tired that she climbed up on the couch & fell asleep. I had never even seen her crawl up on th couch before or even know that she could.

Here Lauryn is talking to her, in her own language. They keep close tabs on each other.

Sleepy Leah.

I Love Our Church Family

Our church has started having services on Sunday evenings. It started out as having it to practice music but really hasn't been that. Instead we have just been together, singing. Our kids are the only children there and they enjoy the times of praise so much. Micah is our little singer and loves to sing. If I could, I would upload the video of him singing, "As the Deer".

Here the kids are singing "Stop And Let Me Tell You"., with the help of Pastor Brian & Eileen(Pastor & Mrs Lane) This is a song that Bryan learned as a child.
We are so thankful for Brian & Eileen !!

February

I have more pics from February still on the camera but thought I would post these few for you.

What baby does not love a cloth? All my babies have liked them. Micah used to play in his high chair for a long time putting the cloth on his head, playing peek a boo, etc.

The twins are so much fun. They are walking all over now, they love to carry things around the house(makes for even more mess moving things from one room to another). They are so happy all the time & giggle(it warms my heart). Lauryn does this deep laugh & it is so funny. They love Daddy & both go running to him when he comes in the door. I love to watch it. And they love dolls, especially Lauryn. We first noticed it on their birthday when they received dolls as gifts. Lauryn took a doll & snuggled it & rocked it. Now they both do this. And if you say, "snuggle a dolly" to one twin, the other one, not holding a doll will rock back & forth & cuddle anything in her hands(often clothes/laundry) Calleigh likes dolls but not at this early age.

Micah man with his Awana car - a football field. He won his first races but lost in the finals but it was a fun evening for them all.
