Where Have I Been?

That is a good question.

This month has just flown by so fast. Soccer started so we have busy with that 2x a week. Bryan is coaching Micah's team and Simon is playing outdoor soccer for the first time so I have to go between fields to watch them both. Simon's age group are like little sheep, they all follow each other & run in a herd. LOL

It was so cold on that first night of soccer. They have had one nice night of soccer.

We had our annual garage sale on Mother's Day weekend, that was alot to get ready for. I sorted & sorted for days. The weatehr was unpredictable. It was sunny then all of a sudden it was raining so things got cleaned up in a hurry so then I had to sort through it all again. We did really well this year and sold lots but we seem to have just as much stuff left over.

The kids did a little sale with cookies/squares amd pop.

We had a nice Mother's Day, spent some time with both our Mom's. It was great to be able to be at Grandma's. Six months ago we weren't sure if Grandma would be living there again. We are so thankful that Grandma is doing well after her heart surgery.

This reminded me so much of playing on the bales at Aunt Roberta's & Uncle Larry's. I have such fond memories of all the time spent at their place.

We had the baby dedications this month as well as Calleigh's 3rd birthday and I will post pictures of that later.

I will also post more pics of the twins soon. Here they are in their oufits that they came home from the hospital in. They have outgrown them now. They have seemed to really grow a lot in the last month. We go this week to have them weighed.

A New Toy

It is new to the girls but not actually new. We have had it for all 5 children. It hardly got used with Calleigh. She was rolling all over the floor by 3 months and would never lay under the gym. I am so thankful that the girls are content to lay and play with it. I can't imagine them being all over the house already. Things will get alot more busy when that happens.

Lauryn & Leah

They are smiley girls(they look so serious in these pics) and are starting to kick their legs lots and get excited.

My good friend, Laurie, gave me her highchair and I have already used it quite a bit. It has wheels(our other one doesn't) so I wheel it around while I am working in the kitchen or even down the hall making beds. They have to have a blanket to support them or they slide down & to the side.
Thank you, Laurie.

3 Month Photo Shoot

The twins are closer to 4 months & I am finally getting around to blogging their 3 month photos.

The girls often sleep all morning in their swings. Twice last week, Leah slept from 10am - 3pm. I am so glad I decided to get 2 swings. Here leah is asleep in the swing, keeping the sun out with her headband.

Finally a pic of all 5.

These sleepers were given to them in the hospital & they finally fit them now.

Calleigh

Calleigh will be 3 this month, oh she is growing up so fast. She is still "my baby" at times yet other times she is a "big girl". This picture was taken one day walking home from the school/park. She said "take a picture of me" and it is one of my favorite pics of her.

I love her smile!!

Calleigh likes to be a big sister but sometimes the twins don't appreciate it too much.

Leah & Calleigh.

Calleigh being my little helper. She likes to dry dishes with me & help with the laundry.

(these are just for my sake when I get around to scrapbooking)

Calleigh is very talkative. Many people comment on how well she talks for her age. Lately I notice she is starting to use baby talk though.

In some ways she seems so grown up but she loves to "be my baby" and snuggle with me.

She is girly yet she isn't. She likes to wear dresses & dress up in her princess clothes but there are days when she likes to have her hair messy(not allow me to do anything with it). She likes to play in the dirt. I would say that she is more adventerous than the boys.

We go to moms & Tots every week & she loves this. It is great for us because she gets to go off with other kids & the helpers & I stay with the Moms. Really this is the only time we are ever apart.

She also goes to Sunday school & really likes Mrs. Clearwater.

Calleigh loves books. She likes to look at books herself which she does at bedtime and she also likes to have books read to her.(I usually fit this in while nursing the twins)

Simon

Oh, I am getting behind on updating the blog. You probably keep checking the blog wondering when I am going to post new pics. I am working on it so keep posted.

Lauryn & Simon

Simon loves to snuggle the twins and is a good helper for me. The gilrs are so smiley now & love it when the boys pay attention to them. They like Calleigh too as long as she is not trying to pull their arms off. They smile at her if she is just talking to them.
Leah & Simon
Simon is such an excitable boy. He loves to talk & will talk your ear off. he is strong willed & has given us some parenting challenges & taught us that no 2 children are alike. As he has grown, he has thankfully grown out of some of those ways.

Leah, Lauryn & Simon
In the past month, Simon has learned to ride his bike and he loves riding his bike.
He also taught himself to tie his shoes & he is so proud of himself. He likes to show everyone how he ties his shoes. At the bakery tour, he was off in a corner teaching the girls how to tie.
He also tells me that he is learning to be a good artist. He loves to do crafts of all sorts and makes us things out of paper all the time.
It amazes us how 2 boys can be so different from each other.
