One Last Visit to Grandma's House

Grandma & Grandpa moved off the farm in 1982 into this house. Now Grandma feels that it is time to move to a senior's housing unit. We are happy for her. Happy that she was able to sell her house so quickly. Although, an emotional time.

When Grandma decided to put her house for sale, she called me and said that she wanted me to have her dining room set. We made a quick trip down to Lang to pick it up. It was a nice weekend. We were able to visit since we had none of the kids along.

After a good cry. I told Grandma that it was all good tears of all the good memories.
I don't have any regrets. I am so glad that I was able to spend so much time at Grandma & Grandpa's while growing up. Grandma is so much more than a Grandma. She is a true friend.

Anytime we were we were leaving Grandma's,

she would always stand on her front porch and wave.

It was hard to wave to her one last time on that porch.

The cabinet in its new home. It is an honour to have this piece of furniture in our home. Most of the items in the cabinet are all from Grandma. Some of them were her Mom's in England.

Cross Country

Micah was in Cross Country this year. They practiced 2x a week after school & had meets(out of town) 3 Wednesdays in September. They had nice weather for each meet.

"Go Micah Go"
(I was not able to go to any of the meets but Bryan was at each one)

He was giving it all he had. He didn't win but he enjoyed it and did his best.

Annual Football Game

The boys went to their yearly Riders vs Lions game in Regina. It was a great birthday present for Bryan.(with a great win)

Good Big Sister

This is what I found one day when I came to get Lauryn for lunch. She was asleep in Calleigh's arms. She had crawled up there & Calleigh rubbed her back & rocked her to sleep.

No, this is not usual.

Calleigh is usually the boss but she can be so kind & gentle with her sisters as well.

Harvest at Clearwater's

The kids are usually asked each yesr to go on a combine ride and they enjoy it so much.

Wilma with all 3 kids in the combine. Calleigh is on Micah's knee.

One of my all time favorite pictures.
We were just waiting while the kids had their ride.

As the combines got closer, the girls got closer & closer to me.

They each took some wheat & this picture for show & tell/sharing at school.

Thank you for the memories D & W!!
