Fall Fun

We went out & took a few fall pictures. It gets dark so early now so we'll try again another day to get a good family photo. (they are out of order)

I'm Married to a 30 Year Old

Today is Bryan's 30th birthday. We had a party for him on Sunday(as seen in a previous post)
There are many things that I love & appreciate about Bryan.
He helps me out a lot with the kids & around the house, especially when I'm working.
I am blessed to have Bryan as my husband and as Micah, Simon, & Calleigh's Dad.

Storytime

I got a call on Monday to lead storytime today. I have a really hard time saying "no". All day yesterday, I spent trying to find something for storytime. I have never been so stressed. My heart was racing. I found a craft for a fall theme. The library had NO fall books. I tried to think of other themes but nothing came together. I called(emailed) on my good friends, Laurie & Jen, who live out of town. I told them I was in big trouble & within 10 minutes, Jen had sent me all sorts of ideas, poems, & songs. What a huge help. So I just needed books for my fall theme. Tina had 2 for me & I found 1 here. Great, I think I can do this. All the while I am thinking, "why can't I say no?" I purposely didn't sign up for this week because I had WM last night & have to go to work today. Well, I lead storytime & it went fine. We had 17 kids in my group & 13 in the younger group. It was the 1st time we have split the age groups. Good thing or we would have had 30 kids in one group. The craft we did was a handprint tree. The kids traced their hand & cut it out to make the tree trunk & branches then ripped little pieces to make leaves. It was a great craft for them & each child was very creative & did thier own tree.

I was encouraged by other moms & grandmas & I think I can do it again but next time I will say "no" if I only have 1 day to prepare.

Saying "no" is a learning process for me.

I really need to think about my F-A-L-L.(from a WM message I gave this month)

Happy Birthday!!!!!

I planned a surprise party for Bryan & Tina who are both turning 30 this week. I invited Doug & Tina & family over on Sunday evening. I told them it was for Bryan's birthday & I told Bryan that they were coming over for Tina's birthday. Neither of them had any idea it was for them until a bunch of people showed up at the door. We had 17 adults & 9 kids.

Amy helped me out by decorating these cupcakes. (decorating cakes is not my specialty) The flowers say 'Tina' & the footballs say 'Bryan'. The cake below shows the extent of my decorating - choc chips & cherries.
Happy Birthday Tina!!
(I wanted to do this post yesterday for your actual birthday but had a very crazy day which I will post about later)
I appreciate Tina so much. She is a true friend.

More to Come

Two of my boys went away on the weekend to watch their team play. I'll add more pictures later. Micah has really became a sports nut. He studied all the game notes on the way to Regina. he is certainly like father, like son.

My Dolly with Her Dolly

Calleigh loves her dolls and calls them her
b-a-b-y. She rocks them in their cradle. She brings them to us & says, "b-a-by" until we take the bay & rock it. She has one doll that cries & when it does, Calleigh gets such a sad look on her face.

Congrats

Our little nephew, Liam Fredrick, came 6 weeks early on August 30th &
he is already home from the hospital.
He is so sweet & looks just like his Daddy.

Congratulations Carmen & Nate
(I hope you don't mind me posting these)
We are so happy for you. We wish we were closer so we could come over &
cuddle that little bundle of joy.

While Mom's At Work...

Back to School

On the first day back to school, I like to leave early so we can take pictures & get to school good & early. Well, that didn't happen this year. When we went to leave, I couldn't find my keys anywhere. The kids sat in the van while I searched for my keys but no keys. And no picture taking. We left the house at 8:53 & got to school just on time. I was one unhappy mom but I later found my keys.

These pics were taken after school.

So Peaceful

This was the view when us 5 went out for supper at Twin Marine. The ladies took me out for supper for my birthday. We tried to go closer to my birthday but it just didn't work. I love these ladies & appreciate each one of them so much. They are my WM executive & I am so blessed to work with them & in one accord.

Saskatoon

In August we went & spent a few days in Saskatoon which has been an annual thing since Micah started school. We had picnics in the park, went to Kinsmen Park(the rides as the water park & playground), zoo & shopping. It was a nice time away.

Saskatoon has a great new develpoment called "River Landing". It has a wonderful spray park & it is right along the river.
Calleigh just loved it.
The Zoo
Because I am so far behind on blogging, I just chose a few pics but I had to add this one. There is a wonderful(the best I've ever seen) playground at Kinsmen Park. And here is the swing. Adults can use it as well as babies.
It was great to spend time with Andrew & Melinda.
I am so proud to call them my brother & sister in law.

Apology

Well, first I must apologize for being so far behind on the blog. I get annoyed when people don't update their blogs very often so I am sorry.
