It's a Heat Wave

Our thermometer at 4pm yesterday.........


We are experiencing very hot weather right now. It hasn't even been cooling off at night. It was only supposed to get down to 25* last night. The other night on the 11pm news, the current temps around Sask were anywhere between 28* & 34*. That was at 11pm...wow. I am so thankful that we have central air conditioning.

Micah has been swimming twice a day in this heat and it makes for a very tired boy. When he saw this picture he asked me how he got on the carpet. He was that tired that he doesn't even remember falling asleep there.

Yesterday morning, Simon came and crawled in beside Calleigh in our bed. I thought this was so cute. He loves his baby sister.

Week One of Swimming Lessons

Micah is taking swimming lessons for the first time. It goes for 2 weeks. He is doing so well. I can see a big change just from Monday to Friday. When he started he wouldn't put his head under the water. Now he does the starfish float & glides with his face in the water. He also goes under water with his eyes open now. Here he is doing 'chop, chop, timber'. He is 3rd from the right.


They jumped off the diving board at the end of the lesson. He was a litle nervous about it but he did it.

Home Sweet Home

We just went on holidays to Red Deer and Calgary. We always look forward to going on holidays. This year we only went for 3 nights. We didn't know how it would go with 3 kids and with Calleigh being so young. We went to one night of the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration. We usually go all 3 nights. This was our 9th year of being there. We drove down to Calgary to the zoo. Wow, it was so very hot. So many of the animals were hiding because of this. We like to go an holidays but we are always happy to get home. We are having a very hot week here which is good for Micah's swimming lessons and the fair(exhibition) which is on right now.

This Past Week

"We love you Calleigh" This is a common scene at our place. It is so nice to see how good the boys are with their baby sister.

We had HOT weather this past week so we took advantage of it & spent lots of time in the kiddie pools in our backyard as well as going to the park and the library.
Calleigh at 6 weeks. It is amazing how much babies change in their first 6 weeks of life. Calleigh now weighs 10lbs 8oz. She has been sleeping very well.

Fourth of July

Happy Independence Day to Auntie Carmen and Uncle Nate. I hope you can come visit me while this outfit fits. That gives you a few months......

Here is Calleigh in her little USA outfit from you. We like to dress her in pink because we've had so much blue in the last 5 years but I think she still looks cute in blue. Hopefully no one will ask if she's a boy. We've had that even when she was all dressed in pink.
