Christmas Storytime Hour

We have storytime once a week at the library. Here are a few pictures from the Christmas party:

The kids sang "Jingle Bells" & Santa arrived.

The whole time Santa was sitting on the chair, Lauryn was calling, "ah, ah, ah" She was enthralled by him.

Calleigh was very shy of Santa in the past, even 2 weeks prior at the Credit Union but after seeing all the other kids receive a gift she decided it was okay to sit on his knee.

Snacks & coloring

Church Dinner & Concert

We had our annual Christmas Dinner on December 12th following the morning service. Lots of good foos as usual.

We did things differently this year in that we had an afternoon concert rather than evening. We received positive comments from people liking the afternoon concert. It made a long day for us but nice that we didn't have to go back & forth.

Micah played several songs on the piano. Here he isplaying "Silent Night".

Simon saying his verse,
"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
Followed by the 4 of them singing "Away in a Manger". Micah played piano & sand along with them.
Calleigh saying her little poem,
"Little baby Jesus, born on Christmas Day
Little baby Jesus, sleeping on the the hay
An angel told the shepherds, "do not be afraid"
For little baby Jesus is on his bed of hay
"Hurry", said the shepherds, let us leave our sheep
And go see baby Jesus, "Shhh, he's sound asleep"
Micah reciting :
"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." Matthew 2:1,2
Then he sang "Angels From the Realms of Glory"(all 4 verses)
He did a great job. He has such a love for music.

December

Where did the month of December go? It just flew by. What did we do all month? First I hosted a first ever salad social and baking exchange with a group of friends, for s girls night out. I really enjoy hosting friends & family in December but the month goes by so fast and gets so busy with parties and concerts that I don't get to host as much as I would like.
I will just share a few snaps from the month:
Calleigh & her best friend, Brandon playing CandyLand
They love to spend time together. Calleigh is so bossy to Brandon that is it surprsing that he even likes to play with her.LOL
I have always thought that our kids all look so different from each other but in this picture I can really see Simon & Calleigh's similarities.
Sleeping Beauties
The twins still sleep in the same bed and for the most part it works well. Sometimes they just like to play instead of sleep. Here, Leah is resting her head on Lauryn's back while sleeping.
Too cute.
Our singing snowman - Lauryn dancing(bouncing upm & down) as the snowman sings
"Jingle Bells" (notice the dress - it is 0-3 months & fits them perfect right now)

I'll have to ask Micah which baby this is-
They started standing & like to hold on to our legs as we walk & they walk along.

Bath time-
They love their bath and many times a day just go stand at the tub in the dark bathroom reaching for the taps.
(Now this I know is Leah & Lauryn)

My poor baby dolly Leah -
she got an eye infection & I ended up taking her to Emerg for antibiotic ointment. It made me want to cry just looking at her but she was still smiling.
I will update a bit more with events of December in another post.

November

It has been awhile since I have done on a post on the blog. As I went through the November picture file I realized that I don't have much to blog about(or many pictures) yet I didn't have the time to blog so what did we do all month?

We celebrated our 11th anniversary, we went to PA for a day to do Christmas shopping(with no kids), I had been busy baking and crafting. I made some Christmas gifts this year as well as cards as always.

Here are a few pictures I do have:

Simon with his Lego masterpiece. He always like to have a picture taken with it. Neither of the boys have really been into Lego but Simon loves the Lego kits lately so he has a collection of them and has taken one a week for show & tell.

Our busy little girls - oh they are so busy - they can empty a cupboard or here, the drawer in matter of moments.
Who would have thought that 2 babies could be that much busier than 1 baby??
They can get into cupboards and drawers that the other kids couldn't do until closer to 2 years old. The other day I used a heavy duty twist tie on the cupboard under the sink & they had it undone in about 3 seconds. They know how to work like a team.

This came in the mail - The November issue of Today's Parent:

I love that they are holding hands in that picture.

"Hey sis, did you know that we are 10 months old now?"

It was very tricky to get a picture of them together.
(Leah likes to stick out her tongue.LOL)

I love those big brown eyes.
(Leah was stuck under the bouncing buggy)

Our well used piece of furniture. Micah was entertaining Lauryn here. She loves to stand at the end of the piano & touch the keys.
Micah hasn't taken piano lessons for 2 years now but since getting the piano he sits & plays it every day. He has also played specials in church this past month.
