Look at Me Now

Calleigh is 5 months old now. Here she is so proud of herself in her dress form Auntie Carmen & Uncle Nate.

And in her sweater Grandma Heiberg made for her.

Happy Birthday Micah

Six Years Ago

Six years ago today, our precious little Micah James was born into this world. What a blessing. As I think back to that day in the hospital, I am flooded with memories. I think about all the pain of child birth that is all worth it when you hold your baby in your arms. I remember the excitement of being a Mom and the hopes and dreams I had for Micah. The first night, Micah slept in the incubator in the nursery. Bryan had gone to sleep in a hotel. How could I possibly go to sleep by myself in that hospiatl room? I would try but every hour or so I just had to go see Micah, touch his little foot and hold his little hand. We went home from the hospital with our bundle of joy. I cried just thinking of Micah & how he was totally dependent on me. How could this be? In his first year of life, Micah was placed in a hip spica(body) cast to correct his hips. When the Dr told us that she was going to do this, I thought 'there is no way you can do that to my little baby'. But he stayed in that cast for 4 months. He was just as happy as any other baby. It was much harder on me. Six years have passed and I am still just as thankful for Micah as I was the first time I saw him. Tonight, Micah had an earache so I held him and cuddled him just as I did when he was a baby. He has grown but is still my precious little Micah James. I love you Micah.

It's Been Awhile

I haven't done a post for awhile now. I haven't even taken any pictures. Calleigh & I have both been sick for over a week now. I have never known a cold to last so long nor have I ever experienced a throat so sore. We seem to be getting better so that is good. Simon has also had a bit of a cold but is still his same silly self. I wanted to post this picture of Calleigh wearing her beautiful sweater from Jen. (I have more pics on someone else's camera but she hasn't sent them to me yet-hint hint) Bryan brought back this cheerleading dress for Calleigh but the smallest size is 3 so she'll have to wait a bit before she can wear it.

Autumn

I love this time of year ever since moving to Nipawin. At first I had a hard time getting used to all the trees but now I enjoy the beauty of them. The pictures didn't turn out great but I thought I'd share them anyway.

Harvest Time

The boys were invited to go for a ride on a combine. We went out right after school. They both enjoyed it. Simon keeps asking to go again.

Our Weekend

We all had a great weekend. Bryan was off to Vancouver for a few days to see his team play in their own stadium. He says it is nice to be in a place where everyone else is cheering for the same team as you. He called me from the stadium just so I could hear to the roar. Laurie & 3 of her kids came & stayed for a couple days. We got lots of cards made and the kids had lots of fun playing together.
