Sliding

Sliding or sledding, as I would call it. But, here in northern Sask, sledding & toboggans refers to snowmobiles.
We went sliding on Saturday & had lots of fun. I thought Calleigh might like to watch the boys but she slept instead. This is moments before she fell asleep.
Calleigh in thinking, 'what is this strange thing you stuffed me into?' It is the 1st time for Calleigh to wear a snowsuit & she wasn't sure what to think. The snowsuit will fit her better next winter.
The boys really enjoyed "sledding" & did pretty good carrying their sleds up the hill. (no, not snowmobiles-people do honestly call their snowmobiles sleds)
Enough for today.

Blessings

Simon was just as excited as Mommy to open the box & see what was inside. He had to shake each peice of clothing, after I had refolded them once alreedy.

Thanks again, Laurie.

Whoops!!

Calleigh has just recently learned to pull herself to standing. Micah was cleaning out their toy drawer and Calleigh thought she could help.

Family Day

Yesterday was family day here in Saskatchewan(as well as 3 other provinces & the states). It was also "Open a can of beans day" for national canned food month. That is what I heard on the radio. There is school break this week and we were hoping it was going to be nice like it was on Saturday but unfortunately it is -42(wc) today. I guess the boys will have to keep themselves busy indoors.

Valentine's

It is finally nice enough for the boys to play outside. We have had a very cold winter so the boys haven't been outside much but it is 2* here today so they are really engjoying being outside. Micah's skating with school has been cancelled a few times because of the cold weather. They were supposed to go on Valentine's day. Instead they stayed in all day - no skating, no recess and lots of sugar.
This is the pizza that Micah & I made for Valentine's supper.
I didn't set the kids up for this picture. They were just all sitting here nicely but by this picture Calleigh had enough.
We made Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies(recipe on December posts) for storytime then made these cupcakes for Micah's class & Simon's playgroup.

I am reading a book right now, "One Tuesday Morning" by Karen Kingsbury. It is a great book and had me thinking.....do we say "I love you often enough"? I think it is so important to tell our loved ones that we love them.

Have you told someone that you loved them today?

8 Months

I am a little late at posting Calleigh's 8 month pictures. I didn't even take any pictures on her 8 month birthday. Here she is in clothes from Jen(thank you!!).
Mmmm, filling from Daddy's donut. She loved it.
Her usual position.
Calleigh has learned so much over the past month.
- waves bye bye
- chatters (even talked on the phone today)
- is eating cheerios & bread along with her junior baby food
- drinks out of a sippy cup on her own
- sits up
- creeps on her tummy using her left arm & right foot
- gets up on her hands & knees but isn't sure how to move in this position
- rocks to music
- loves her jolly jumper
- her hair is starting to grow (I saw a baby with a head full of hair yesterday & it just doesn't look right)

We have finally gotten into a good daytime sleep routine. It is amazing how quickly babies grow. And our love grows for them more & more each day.
