Baby Doll

My baby is 6 months old today.Where has the time gone? It doesn't seem that long ago that I was holding Calleigh in my arms for the first time yet it is hard to remember our family before she was born.

She brings us such joy. She is a very happy baby. She rolls all over the floor and is eating solids now. She doesn't have much hair but I saw these bows at a craft sale and just couldn't resist. She really is like my doll when I was a child.....I love to dress her up.

My Brother & Me

Calleigh & Micah watching "Singing Babies"
Micah reading to Simon. Micah has a reading program at school. He brings home a green bag with books each night. He reads them and records them in a log book. He is doing very well with reading and loves it. Before we even get home Micah has his books out & is reading them to me in the van. Yesterday, he read the books 9x, once to each person at our house for the Grey Cup.

Here to Stay

I think Winter is here to stay. The first snowfall was on November 8th and we received a large dump of snow. It has been snowing off & on since then.

Today it is -15. It certainly feels like winter. I took Micah to school and just about got stuck(well, I did but was able to get out) turning off our road.

Welcome Winter!!!!!!

Tired Much?

The other night, I set Calleigh in the bouncing buggy so I could quickly vacuum the downstairs. In no time she was sound asleep and she stayed sleeping when I shut the vacuum off. She must've been tired.

Baby Mum Mum

It has been awhile since I posted cute pictures. I thought if I don't post some pics of the kids some of you may give up on me(blog).

Calleigh loves Baby Mum Mum crackers(rice husks). I thought I'd try it & she ate both husks. (they come 2 per pkg)
She is jabbering away now. It sounds like "Daddy, Daddy" & "look at here" It is cute to listen to.
She loves to be on her tummy and can get all over the room just by rolling. Sometimes she lays in one spot & 'swims' wishing she could get moving. That is what she is doing here in her Christmas dress which Micah called a boys dress. She always wears pink so I guess he thought red is for boys.

November in Nipawin

We had a large dump of snow on Thursday. I couldn't get the van up the driveway so there it sat almost driving into the trees in our neighbour's yard. It has been snowing off & on for the last few days. And the forcast says 90% chance of snow for today.

A New Premier

"Finally, after sixteen long years of socialist rule in Saskatchewan, the people have spoken and the Sask. Party, lead by Brad Wall have taken a majority win in last night's provincial election. Now the work begins to make this province what it can and should be. The Sask. Party has had enough years now to see how not to do things, and now it is up to them to make things right. I can't wait to see how the next four years unfold."

Election Day

Tomorrow is election day here in Saskatchewan. So all of you Saskatchewanians........go out and vote. We will be busy here watching the results on tv and having a "party" if a certain political party wins. (you can guess by the signs on our lawn which party that would be)

Full of Joy

Calleigh has been smiling for quite awhile but is just recently giggling.

Simon reading a book to Calleigh(ta-wee)
I gave Calleigh some rice cereal and she loved it. She just gobbled it up while smacking her lips.

Halloween Fun

The card that Micah gave his teacher, Mrs. Tallon. I can't take credit for this one. It is from a workshop.

Carving pumkins.......
Thanks to Tyler & Amy. They brought the pumpkins over & carved them with the boys.
Simon wasn't too sure about the 'guts' of the pumpkin. But he was happy to be a "horsey". He ran just like a little horse. Micah, the lion.
Calleigh, the tiger. Sometimes it feels like a zoo around here.
