10 Years

These pictures always rearrange themselves when I upload them but I'll just keep them that way.

Last evening, I attended a gala event. Five of us hopped into our van and drove to Tisdale for the long service awards banquet.

I started at Home Care in November 1997 and then at Pineview Lodge in November 1998. I worked casual at both places until I got a position at PVL in Feb 2000. I have only had 2 different positions the whole time. I was, first, in Pinehaven, the dementia unit. I loved my years in there but after my maternity leave with Calleigh I went to a different position only becasue of the hours. I miss the staff from Pinehaven but I really like my new rotation, staff and residents on Block 7. A job in the health care field is a very rewarding job. I really enjoy my job.

I received my 10 year pin along with a Sears Gift Card.

It was a very enjoyable evening and made me appreciate my job even more. There is something special about working at the same place for so many years. There was a lady there that received her 35 year pin. I thought, 'I want that to be me some day'. I would be 55 when I receive my 35 year pin but I can retire at 52.

I am so thankful for a good job.
