Oh So Tiny

We are thanking the Lord that both Heidi & baby Jaken are doing well. The Dr said that if they had waited any longer to deliver, it would've have put both Heidi & the baby in danger. We are so thankful all is well now.

We were able to go and see Jaken on Saturday. Heidi called to say that they took him off of his IV's that morning & was now in her room so we could see Jaken & hold him. We were going to go even if we could only see Heidi but we were delighted to see & cuddle Jaken.Jaken looks just like my Dad(his grandpa) & like Jada. By the pictures you really cannot see just how small he really is. I saw pictures before I went but when I saw him I was amazed at just how tiny he really is. He fits in my 2 hands. His head is only as round as when I put my hands together forming a circle. He is tiny & what a precious little perfect gift he is.
Simon really wanted to hold him & when he did, he said, "Oh, he is heavy"

Calleigh is a bit rough. She is used to playing with her brothers not newborn babies. She sure loves bay Jaken though & here she is patting him.

The ped Dr was in to see Jaken yesterday & is very happy with how he is doing. They will continue to monitor him for the next little while. he is nursing well but it wears him out & uses all his energy that he needs to grow. I'll try to keep you updated on here.
