A Pumpkin Party

Simon turned Six on the 29th & wanted a pumpkin party. I sent out pumpkin inviations asking everyone to wear orange.(not everyone has the array of orange clothing that our kids do. I just noticed that Bryan isn't even wearing orange & he has lots of it)
We started with pumpkin carving:

The boys really semed to enjoy this & were so intent.
Bryan likes to joke around alot & was teasing the kids asking if they knew what was inside the pumpkin. Bryan said he thought it was full of candy so they all looked close as he was about to pull off the top.

Pin the stem on the pumpkin:
(I shouldn't have cut out the pumpkin though-they were able to "use their sense of feeling")

Hot Pumpkin:

(they played this over quite a few times)

Oh I didn't get any pictures of them painting their pumpkins. I used little decoraive pumpkins as place settings with their names on them

Cade, Carter, Cameron, Andon, Bryn,Jayden, Simon (Ritchy is missing from the pic)

Pumpkin hockey:
The couldn' shoot the pumpkin, they had to "push" or stick handle it around a pylon(bowling pin) & back to the next team member
Pumpkin bowling:
Who needs to go to the bowling alley? This was a hit with the boys

Making a Pumpkin Pie:
(Present time)
The boys said, "oh we don't know how to make pumpkin pie" and "we don't like that kind of pie" when I told them that I needed their help to make pumpkin pie

Each of the boys got a piece of pie with a number on it.(they couldn't show Simon the #) The Simon picked a # out of a container & the number he drew was the gift he opened.
And the pie was made:

Our boys are as opposite as it gets.
Simon is a kind, loving boy yet very strong willed. He really tugs my heart strings in all directions.
Happy Birthday Simon!!
